Las Vegas dining is often associated with celebrity chefs and high-end restaurants along The Strip, but some of the city’s standout culinary experiences can be found off the main drag.
We countdown from Casino City's list of the top off-Strip restaurants worth discovering.
A few honorable mentions include Lotus of Siam, known for its authentic Thai dishes; George Sportsman’s Lounge at Durango Casino Resort; and classic steakhouses such as Scotch 80 Prime at Palms Casino Resort and the Golden Steer on West Sahara. Each offers memorable dining but fell just short of the top five.
The list begins with Herbs and Rye on West Sahara. With a speakeasy vibe and Italian-influenced menu, it’s especially popular for its half-price steaks and cocktails during happy hour. In fourth place it's Bistecca at Tuscany Suites and Casino, blending steakhouse traditions with fine Italian dining, where the braised bone-in veal shank is a standout.
At number three, Berry’s Downtown Prime at Circa Resort & Casino serves steaks cooked over fruit wood coals, Wagyu burgers, and oversized cocktails. Piero’s Italian Cuisine claims the second spot. A Vegas institution for more than 40 years, it offers classic Italian dishes, fresh seafood, and six dining rooms filled with original artwork.
Topping the list is Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel and Casino. With sweeping rooftop views, premium steaks, and walls decorated with photos from Las Vegas history, it delivers both flavor and atmosphere. Signature dishes include the “No Noses Mob Meatballs,” while its happy hour is ranked the city’s best.
The countdown shows that some of Las Vegas’s finest meals are waiting just beyond The Strip, where value and authenticity shine.
