The next Las Vegas Sphere residencies?

26 February 2026

Sphere in Las Vegas has already welcomed some big-name performers, including the Eagles, Kenny Chesney, and U2. Who will headline the next Sphere residency? Our video has some predictions.

The Las Vegas Sphere has quickly evolved from a futuristic curiosity into the ultimate bucket list venue for the world’s most iconic acts. As we move through 2026, the calendar for this $2.3 billion marvel is filling up with a mix of confirmed legends and tantalizing rumors.

No Doubt is leading the charge for the spring, as Gwen Stefani and company have officially locked in a residency titled Live at Sphere, which features 18 shows spanning May and June 2026 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tragic Kingdom.

While No Doubt has the spring secured, the rumor mill is spinning for the latter half of the year and into 2027. Reports suggest that Metallica is 90% close to finalizing a 2027 residency once their M72 World Tour wraps up, with drummer Lars Ulrich expressing immense enthusiasm for the venue's technological potential.

Similarly, Sir Brian May has confirmed that Queen + Adam Lambert are having serious conversations about a run of shows, noting that the Sphere's stability is more appealing than global touring at age 78. Additionally, Tool drummer Danny Carey recently revealed the band is in talks for a 2027 stint to coincide with a new album, as their psychedelic visuals are widely considered a perfect match for the 16K wraparound screen.

These acts represent a shift toward high-energy rock that will surely test the limits of the Sphere's immersive audio and visual capabilities.
