Last month we told you that Michigan online poker could become part of a larger poker compact that already exists between Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware. And now, just a few weeks later, they have done exactly what they set out to do. Interstate poker is live in Michigan, and players there can sit down at the virtual tables with players from these other states. By joining, Michigan online poker will enjoy bigger tournaments, larger prizes pools, and more cash games running!

If you were hoping for New York online casinos or poker this year, we have some bad news for you. State legislators could not get a deal done in regard to a measure being pushed by State Senator Addabbo, who also pushed sports betting reforms there. The current legislative session will end on 2 June with nothing accomplished for online casino games or poker. Given the history of difficulties in the state, New York online gambling will most likely become a reality within the next several years.

Some view The Mirage Volcano as a Las Vegas icon. But the city has had many icons over the years. From Sinatra and the Rat Pack to Siegfried & Roy, and even the more recent tenures of Celine and Elton. But Vegas has also lost many of their more iconic casinos as well. The Hard Rock plans to build a huge Guitar shaped hotel on the site. And to do that, they famous Mirage volcano must go. That’s something that tourists and residents alike don’t want to see happen. A petition to save the volcano at in an effort have the site designated a historical landmark.
