New Las Vegas resorts planned and under construction

24 April 2025

Las Vegas is always changing, and this week we're looking at several resorts being planned, renovated, and built right now.

Vanderpump Las Vegas
The Cromwell will soon be no more, as the property will be rebranded as the The Vanderpump Hotel. The transformation of The Cromwell into The Vanderpump Hotel will include a full-scale renovation of the Las Vegas property. Vanderpump will oversee the redesign of 188 guest rooms and suites, the hotel lobby and reception area, and introduce an all-new signature lounge. This new hotel has a planned grand opening in early 2026.

Cadence Crossing Casino
The Las Vegas area is getting a new casino, as Boyd Gaming has broken ground on their Cadence Crossing Casino project in Henderson. The new property will be a state of the art facility and replace the Joker’s Wild Casino, which will be demolished in order to build more parking spaces. Boyd Gaming’s upcoming casino, set to debut in mid-2026, will be a more modest addition compared to the sprawling resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. The Cadence Crossing Casino will include a 10,000-square-foot gaming floor with 450 slot machines, along with several dining and beverage options that are still under wraps.

Hard Rock Las Vegas Shaping Up
The new Hard Rock Las Vegas almost seems like it’s been forgotten. They’ve spent several months clearing the land and digging down to set a new foundation. And now, you can actually start to see how things are going to come together. The iconic guitar-shaped tower for Hard Rock Las Vegas will rise on the former site of the Mirage’s volcano attraction, while the existing Mirage hotel will undergo a significant renovation. The guitar tower, however, is a brand-new structure being built from the ground up, with a large concrete slab forming its foundation and lower levels.
