This Week in Gambling revolves around the MSG Sphere. J. Todd is on location outside the 400-feet-high by 500-feet-wide arena, which is currently being built outside The Venetian Las Vegas, to give us all the scoop on the $1.8 billion arena.
Not only is the MSG Sphere a sight-to-see on the outside, but also word on the street is that it’s going to be just as impressive on the inside as well. It will feature the highest resolution LED screen in the world with a 160,000-square-foot display that wraps up, over and behind the audience. There will be an advanced audio system that will deliver crystal-clear sound to every guest at every seat using 4D technology and an infra-sound haptic system, so guests can feel the music and sounds as it literally vibrates through their bodies. Lastly, there will also be environmental effects such as change in temperature and smells to make you feel as if you’ve been transported to another location.
Postcard from Earth will be the first of the “experiences” to launch this fall when the MSG Sphere opens Friday, 6 October. And as previously mentioned, iconic band U2 will host the first concert in the 17,000-seat venue.
