During This Week in Gambling’s edition, J. Todd takes us behind the scenes at the recently re-opened Horseshoe Las Vegas on The Strip.
Having been Bally’s since 1986, Caesars Entertainment celebrated the
grand opening of its casino in style on 24 March, and now it’s up-and-running.
From the first moment that guests literally step into the casino they’ll notice a new carpet covered in what else, horseshoes.
But that’s not the only reason that people are lucky in the Horseshoe. The new digs include an 18-table Hall of Fame Poker Room, which holds several tournaments a day, and includes cash tables with both limit and no limit hold’em as well as different Omaha games.
The Horseshoe also includes Jack Binion’s Steak House, which is named after the legendary Jack Binion, son of Benny Binion who owned the original Horseshoe.
If guests want games of a different variety, then they’re in luck as the new casino contains a 7,000-square-foot arcade with more than 80 games.
Lastly, if you love donuts, then you’ve come to the right place as right outside in the Grand Bazar Shops is Duck Donuts. And, if you’re wondering if they have your favorite flavor, the answer is yes, as they have everyone’s top choice since they build the donuts to order.
